Rare Trip Pickett

Low Trip Hazard Pickett.  (approx 19 inches long)

These were the last pickets that were laid in front of the British trench to trip any raiders running at the trench.
Of all pickets these are probably the most scarce, the longer pickets were used after the war to make field fences and can still be seen on the Western Front, whilst these low ones were discarded and buried.

Found on the Somme near Serre.
